Travel Services - usual

Braids Medical Practice Travel Service
Travel Service Forms MUST be submitted to the Practice AT LEAST  6 weeks in advance of your departure date.

We will be unable to provide your NHS vaccines if your form is submitted less than 6 weeks in advance

Due to increasing demand for routine NHS services the Braids Medical Practice can unfortunately no longer provide a full travel service which includes a travel consultation.

Currently we will to do our very best to continue to offer you a 10 minute appointment to get your NHS vaccines only (Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Diptheria, Tetanus & Polio) if required.

However you MUST give the practice 6 weeks notice from your intended departure date. We will be unable to provide your NHS vaccines if these are requested less than 6 weeks in advance.

If you wish to have a full travel consultation, including private vaccinations such as Yellow Fever, Rabies, Hepatitis B, Japanese B encephalitis or malaria advice you must go to a private Travel Clinic.

There are a variety of travel clinics in Edinburgh, details of which can be found here.

The clinics will charge for the vaccines but generally do not have a prescription charge. There may be an additional consultation fee.
