How to order your medication - usual

IMPORTANT

To reduce the risk of infection, in view of the current situation with Coronavirus, when requesting precriptions please provide us with the name of your usual pharmacy so that your prescription can be sent directly to the chemist

Repeat Prescriptions

If you require regular medication on prescription, your GP will usually set up a repeat prescription on your computer record. Prescriptions can then be ordered at set intervals without seeing a doctor in person.

If you are a new patient to the practice we will usually need to see you in person to arrange this service. We ask all patients receiving repeat prescriptions to attend for annual review in the month of their birth.

Please make your request for repeat medication in writing, preferably using the tear-off reorder form on the right hand side of your last repeat prescription. Please ensure you tick the required items. Forms that do not have any ticks against items may be returned to you for clarification.

You are also welcome to order your repeat prescriptions by email. This can be done by completing the information below and selecting 'Order Repeat Medication'

In the interests of safety and accuracy we regret that we cannot accept telephone requests for repeat prescriptions.

Please allow 48 hours before collecting your prescription, whether your request was hand written or emailed to the Practice. Alternatively it can be posted back to you if you supply a stamped addressed envelope.

It is your responsibility to contact the Practice for your prescription. The Practice will not automatically contact you. We do not have the capacity in the Practice to do this.

Several local pharmacies also provide a collection service. Ask either at reception or at your pharmacy for further details.

Please allow 48 hours if you wish to check that  your prescription is ready. If you use a regular pharmacy, please check with them first.
